Description
The most prominent home is the E.M. Wright residence on Main Street, now owned by First National Bank of Orwell. E.M. Wright can be seen on the sidewalk holding a broom. Lamp posts, telephone poles strung with wires, hitching posts, step stools, dirt roads, and tidy sidewalks are all visible. The town green space is visible on the left side of the photo along with the Village School in the distance. Beyong Mr. Wright's home is the Masonic Lodge. Next to that is the original Orwell Free Library. Beside the library cottage is the Clark house.
