Originally the D.W. Clark House, in 1919 the heirs of E.M. and Eliza T Wright purchased the home and created Ethan M. and Eliza T. Wright Memorial Library to house the Orwell Free Library for future generations. The space was renovated during the 1920's and opened to the public in 1928.
